Customer Question

Hello ,I;m suffering with severe stress and burnout,[I can;t sleep properly or eat well]
I have had cancer twice in the last five years and currently diagnosed with M.E
The stress is making me angry aggressive and depressed,
I dealt well with the cancers but am struggling with this state of burnout .
I have told my family [my partner and my three grown up sons ] how bad I feel,
but they can;t now cope with my angry outbursts .
Any advise would be welcome

Hi there.
Thank you for your question.
I will be helping you out with your queries.
I am really sorry to know about your suffering.
Can you please enumerate all the medications that you are on.
You mentioned cancers.
Can you please let me know what kind of cancers you had and what treatments you had for them.
Have you have your thyroid hormone levels checked?
Please let me know.
Kind regards

This situation requires a medical exam, check of thyroid function, and all routine labs.
It also requires therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy being the mos proven.
This is done best by PhD clinical psychologists.
This is not a self help situation, for example: if you are hyperthyroid this can cause or contribute to your problems.
Anger from stress requires methodology for stress reduction, and there are a variety or approaches, including therapies such as the mentioned CBT, but also EMDR, emotional release therapies, and biofeedback. An anti inflammatory diet and exercise can also help.
A nutritional assessment for specific factors such as vitamin D and magnesium is also useful.
I am a double board certified US doctor.
