(Asking on behalf of a friend who does not have a computer)
My friend is a 57 year old male with longstanding schizophrenia. He has just been prescribed AMISULPRIDE (Solian) 400mgs in the morning. Is it safe for him to take this at night instead as it has made him so drowsy that he cannot function. Alternatively could he split the dose, as he has 200mg tablets? Does it require food with it?
Please note that he also takes Clozaril.
Thank you very much indeed for your help. His consultant has just gone on holiday so my friend cannot check with him.
Hi there.
Thank you for your question.
I will be helping you out with your queries.
Yes he can take the dose before going to bed or split the dose in to two i.e. 200 mg in the morning and 200 mg in the evening.
I would, however, let his doctor know just to be sure that he is on-board.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Kind regards
