I have had rheumatoid arthritis years. I had chickenpox

Customer Question

I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 14 years. I had chickenpox as a child but I have recently been exposed to someone who has chickenpox now, can I get it again?

No you can not get chicken pox again.
Natural immunity is for life.
The vaccine we do not know at this point.
But you had it as a child.
You can get shingles, but not from catching it. That would be a reactiviation of the old chicken pox. Not from being around someone with it.
OK, so that is an initial answer….
