I have just discovered small spots of blood when wiping my penis after urinating. There is no pain. I have to urinate approximately every 2 hrs (small quantity) during the night. My doctor checked my prostate approx. two years ago. He said it was enlarged but not cancerous.
Hi there.
Thank you for your question.
I will be helping you out with your queries.
Sorry to hear about your problem.
Any person, particularly of your age, who has blood after urinating must be evaluated fully to rule out anything serious.
I would recommend that you should have a urine test to rule out any infection first of all.
Then, you may require a cystoscopy or imaging studies to have a look at your bladder, kidneys, urinary tract.
The possibilities are that this could be an infection or a benign tumor like a papilloma or cancer of the urinary bladder.
All this conditions must be considered.
