Hello from JustAnswer.
The most likely cause of these symptoms would be from musculoskeletal inflammation. Many people notice that inflammation gets worse while asleep and then will ease once awake and moving, and sometimes with application of warmth. Many patients find that a hot shower or similar intervention helps to ease symptoms upon awakening.
If the symptoms are eased relatively quickly in the morning, then it may not require any additional intervention. It is an option to consider an anti-inflammatory medicine, but we try to limit the use of anti-inflammatory medicines as much as possible, as it can increase the risk for other medical problems. Some people with asthma may get worse with anti-inflammatory medicines. We still use them for relief of significant symptoms, but when symptoms are eased relatively quickly, they may not be necessary and someone with asthma should monitor for worsening of asthma.
It would also be OK to use paracetamol for relief of pain or discomfort, but if the symptoms resolve relatively quickly, they may be gone before the medicine is absorbed. The paracetamol also has the advantage of being more consistently tolerated in persons with asthma.
