I am a 19 year-old female. I've recently noticed that, when I go to the toilet, my poo has a little bit of red in it. This is been going on for a week, which was when my most recent menstrual cycle ended. Do you think it could be excess lining or could it be more serious?
HelloThere is no such thing as "excess"lining when it comes to stool. This might simply be food.If it is bright red, hemorrhoids is the most likely cause. It is easy for your doctor to check the stool and see if it tests positive for blood.]If so, then further examination and tests are warranted. OK, so that is an initial answer….Please use reply to expert if you have further questions. When you are ready, please click a positive rating [hopefully excellent].
