Is it possible to become pregnant if you have relations

This answer was rated:

Hi, is it possible to become pregnant if you have sexual relations a few hours before you have your actual period? He also claimed to have had a vasectomy.
Hello from JutAnswer.
No, you would not get pregnant if you had sex a few hours before your period. You would have ovulated a couple weeks, so could not get pregnant.
The problem is that until you actually start your period, you cannot be certain that your period will start. Certainly, if you are typically very regular, you can be relatively certain, but there are situations that can cause a delay in ovulation, so at the time of intercourse, you cannot be certain that the period will happen, so it would still be wise to consider contraception at the time of intercourse.
However, once the period actually starts a few hours later, you can be certain at that point.
This would be true regardless of whether he had a vasectomy.
