I have a colonoscopy in two days.
Am I able to eat \ drink anything tomorrow (24 hours before appointment)
(I'm particularly worried if I cannot drink anything e.g. tea \ coffee.)
Are there any foods I should avoid today?
Hi there.
Thank you for your question.
I will be helping you out with your concerns today.
I am sorry to hear about your problem.
The following types of liquids are allowed:
Water (plain, carbonated or flavored)
Fruit juices without pulp, such as apple or white grape
Fruit-flavored beverages, such as fruit punch or lemonade
Carbonated drinks, including dark sodas (cola and root beer)
Tea or coffee without milk or cream
Strained tomato or vegetable juice
Sports drinks
Clear, fat-free broth (bouillon or consomme)
Honey or sugar
Hard candy, such as lemon drops or peppermint rounds
Ice pops without milk, bits of fruit, seeds or nuts
So you can take tea and coffee without milk or cream.
