Customer Question

Please as requested previously I am taking (prescribed) manerix (maclobemide)600mg/daily for phobia and mild depression. Does this medicine raise the blood pressure? Is it considered safe among the anti-depression medicine? Also can I take with occasionally coughing syrup, Nasonex (prescribed), anti-histamine tablets when I have a cold

Hi there,This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.I am here to address your concerns and provide great service. This is a MAO inhibitor with several interactions with many medications.THis is only used if you failed other safer medications like SSRIs.As long as it is working for you, it is good.It does not raise blood presssure. Can even lower the BPOccasional use of nasonex and antihistamines is fine. But avoid dextromethorphan for cough suppression as it can cause serotonin syndrome.Best wishes,It was my pleasure to help you today. If I have answered all your questions, Please rate my response Excellent (click on the 5th star). Please bookmark my profile for fast, reliable and authentic answers! This is the link to my profile:
