What to treat on itchy nether region
This is Dr. David
I see you have tried one antifungal cream, Canesten cream which is 1% clotrimazole antifungal
the most common itchy rash in the groin and pubic area for men and women is a skin fungal infection. fungus like to grow in moist, dark, wet, warm areas
if you have excessive moisture in your groin area, this can cause skin fungal infections.
you might need to use the Canestene cream 2-3 times a day for 4-6 weeks to clear the fungal infection
or you might need stronger prescription antifungal powders like Nystatin cream which might work better
or Tinactin or tolnaftate cream or powders sometime will work better in the area.
if you have vaginal dryness causing iching, you could have vaginal atrophy.
sometimes vaginal estrogen creams can help vaginal atrophy and help itching.
do you have a doctor you can see who can examine the itchiness in the area?
