I am 11 weeks pregnant and have been told I have enterococci and need antibiotics. I'm anxious as its my first pregnancy. Should I be worried this will harm the baby?

Is it normal to have this infection ?
Thanks for this question.I'm Dr. Phil and I'm ready to helpThis is likely from a urine sample? Yes?Basically they just want to make sure you don't have any bacteria in the urine for when you give birth. This is not a big deal at all. It is very commonThe antibiotics will take care of it and you and the baby will be fine
Also, they should repeat a urine test later in pregnancy to confirm it is eradicated. Please don't forget a positive rating. If you have more question, just reply :)
