Hi there,This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.I am here to address your concerns and provide great service. How old is your wife?Any risk of pregnancy?Viral infection is the likely cause. You can try Peptobismol liquid 30 ml can be tried 3-4 times daily. If peptobismol does not help, then she needs to go ER for IV fluids and medications. She should try Gatorade as much as possible to avoid dehydration.Best wishes,It was my pleasure to help you today. If I have answered all your questions, Please rate my response Excellent (click on the 5th star). Please bookmark my profile for fast, reliable and authentic answers! This is the link to my profile:

Ok then this is likely viral infection related.Gallbladder inflammation, pancreatitis are other examples.Hence if peptobismol does not help, ER visit is recommended.Best wishes
