I suffer with Type 2 diabetes, osteoarthritis, skin cancer

Customer Question

I suffer with Type 2 diabetes, osteoarthritis, skin cancer and irregular heartbeat. My medication is Byetta 20mg daily, Metformin 1000mg 3 times daily, glicacide 80mg twice daily, warfarin 10mg daily, tramadol 500 twice daily, ramapril once daily, bisoprolol, zamadol. Is it ok for me to take vitamin D3 calcium 600mgs and cod liver oil 1000mgs? I am thinking of taking these because I have been diagnosed recently with "stiff liver" and am trying to do everything I can to bring my liver back into line.
Thank you

Hi there,This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.Vitamin D3 is definitely ok to take.Cod liver oil has high vitamin A concentration --can result in toxicity from accumulation. Also cod liver oil has omega 3 which can interact with warfarin increasing risk of bleeding.Better avoided or take at lower dosage.HenceBest wishes,It was my pleasure to help you today. If I have answered all your questions, Please rate my response Excellent (click on the 5th star). Please bookmark my profile for fast, reliable authentic answers! This is the link to my profile:
