Customer Question

Hi, I'm a 23 year old male, and in the past two weeks there has been 5 varied occasions were I have passed drops of blood after urinating. It seems to happen randomly. Its been 9 weeks since I last had sexual intercourse and this was with a long time partner. Any idea about what the issue could be?

Hi there,This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.Blood in the urine can be caused by the kidney stone most commonly.Passage of small stone is a common cause.Next possibility can be urinary tract infection unrelated to the sexual intercourse.Bladder lesions often benign is another cause. You need urinalysis and kidney and bladder scan first.Best wishes,It was my pleasure to help you today. If I have answered all your questions, Please rate my response Excellent (click on the 5th star on top). Please bookmark my profile for fast, reliable authentic answers! This is the link to my profile:
