I've had a slightly stingy sore tongue on the front top part

This answer was rated:

Hi there
I've had a slightly stingy sore tongue on the front top part of my tongue for several weeks without any visible signs.
About a week or so ago a small pus spot occurred on the inside of my cheek which came and went twice. Also the inside of my lower lip became red with a couple of tiny ulcers but that has now gone.
I have tried a chlorohexidine mouthwash but that hasn't helped.
I'm 71, non-smoker, tee-total, eat healthy organic food, go vegetarian 2x a week get plenty of exercise.
I do take 7.5mg of ramipril which keeps my blood pressure in the range 125-128/70-74.
I take a 500mg garlic supplement.
I have had a stressy month last month as I am studying for an OU degree in maths and exams were looming.
Any ideas?
