Hi. I have googled my systems and it appears I could possibly have West Nile fever. I feel cold but hot to the touch, I have had diarrhoea for most of the day, both my hands keep tingling, I have a headache that comes and goes, I have no energy to move, and I was bitten by a mosquito a few days ago. What should I do?

Hi there,
This is Dr Basu, experienced Internal Medicine Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Usually wet nile virus is characterized by an abrupt onset of fever, headache, malaise, back pain, myalgias, and anorexia.

In many cases there are no symptoms.

In most cases, the symptoms subside without any complications.

Your symptoms do not suggest west nile.

Can be any routine cold or stomach virus.

Do not worry.
Best wishes,
It was my pleasure to help you today.
