I have had a cough and occasional soar throat and suffering from Fatigue for the past 5 weeks. I have seen a doctor who thought it was a virus and prescribe antibiotics 4 weeks ago and no chang. is there anything I can do, I have been on complete rest for the past 9 days, thank you in advance Helen

sore throat can be from acid reflux or from runny nose and allergies.

are you coughing up phlegm or mucus? if you are, you need that cultured.

some lung infections can be resistant to certain antibiotics. a sputum culture and senitivity panel can check for this.

you might need cough medications like guifennesin or codeine.
