This is Dr. David

elevated WBC white blood cell counts can be due to infection in your body or due to inflammation in your body

but if they are higher than 20,000 or 30,000 range, it can be due to a leukemia where your bone marrow makes too many WBCs.

there are several different types of leukemias.

the most common leukemia is a CLL or chronic lymphocytic leukemia that elderly patients can get.

I would get a copy of your white blood cell count level and see how high it is.

and talk to your doctors about what could be causing your high levels.
