I have been suffering from pains in back and front and back

Customer Question

I have been suffering from pains in back and front and back of my ribs, which is reducing me to tears and stopping me from sleeping. I have also been throwing up and going hot. The pain soothes slightly when im in the bath. I have tried taking gaviscon just in case its acid. I have also tried taking pain killers but nothing seems to help.

Last time i had a cold or cough was about 6 months ago. I cant remember the last time i have a fever. This is the second day on the row but a year ago i got taken to hospital due to the pain which they said it was just a dodgy chinese. Thanks

I think this can be costochondritis.

Costochondritis can cause chest wall pain as you describe.

It is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone.

You can try heating pads and take OTC NSAID like motrin.

I hope this helps
