Got something in my eye just after lunchtime’s

This answer was rated:

Got something in my eye just after lunchtime’s very painful and feels like it’s still in my eye even after splashing water in eye. Have also rinsed eye with saline to no avail. The irritation will fade slightly when looking in one direction for a period of time but after looking in a different direction comes back worse...feels like the particle is moving around my eye!

Hello I'm Dr Chip

Is your eye red?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
it is a little red - more so than the other eye.

The top lid is also (in my opinion) a little puffy/swollen

Could you post a photo for me on this page please?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.

Got it--thanks

Any idea what you got in your eye?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I was melt on the floor changing a tyre so I’m pretty sure it was a little bit of grit or something. It’s windy today so could be anything I guess.

Right now you're eye looks OK to me

But with that feeling of something still in your eye you might have a corneal abrasion

Those heal well on their own but if it still bothers you tomorrow you need to have a doctor check it out

Please let me know if you need any more information

Is there a possibility something still is in my eye?
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Because it feels like it’s floating about
Customer: replied 8 months ago.
sometimes all of a suddenly it’ll start watering again

It's possible it's under your upper eyelid so you should evert it--turn it inside out--to check

But with a corneal abrasion there's usually watering and irritation
