Hello,This question is about my mother. She is 61 years old and has type 2 diabetes and a stent in the heart. She has been complaining for a year of pains in the leg and recently on her left left it was as if a bone was extremely clear under the skin almost as if it were jutting it. She has been to doctors but none of them can give a clear answer, one says there is a tear in her spine area and recommended physiotherapy. However that also doesn't seem to help. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

The day her leg bone was really clear, almost a week ago.

Hello. I'm Dr. Phil, licensed and practicing internist. Excellent service is my goal.

Do you still need help?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Hi Dr.Phil, yes still do!

It looks like her left leg is swollen

has she had a bypass surgery?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
No she hasnt, only heart surger a few years ago for a stent

has she had an ultrasound on that leg to figure out why it is swollen?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
No they havent, the doctors keep looking at her back but nothing on the leg

Ok I would start by getting an ultrasound of that leg

clearly something is wrong there.

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Ok thank you and any other recommendations we should do?

I would start there

if that is normal you need to get a CAT scan of the belly to look for another reason for the swelling like an enlarged lymph node in the groin

I'm not sure anything is wrong with the skinny leg

the problem is likely the other leg
