Hi,My husband noticed a scab on his lower lip this
morning. He didn’t have any feelings like burning, pain etc. We are not sure if we should treat it as a contagious cold sore or a pimple. We have small kids so he wants to avoid contact if it is more like a cold sore.

Hi. My name is***** have over two decades of experience, and I'm online and available to help you today.

We can also chat by hone and skype.

Does he have any sores anywhere else?

Does it hurt or tingle?

Does your husband have any other medical problems or take any medications?

No pain or tingling and he doesn’t have it anywhere else.

He currently doesn’t take any medications.

Thank you for that additional information.

That does not appear to be a cold sore.

It looks more like pimple or a simple injury.

I do not believe you need to worry that this is contagious.

Does this make sense to you?
