I have recently had a blood test that has shown that my testosterone level is very low. I have previously been diagnosed with several cysts above my testicles - could this be related?

What could the other causes be?

It could be an infection,tumor,decreased blood flow to testicle, or a primary failure of gonads

This does need further evaluation to find out the cause and treat accordingly

Thanks. I am 30 and my level was 288 ng/dl - would you suggest this needs a follow up? Would that be with a urologist or an endocrinologist?

But a result of 288 ng/dl at your age is normal

Normal range vary between 249 to 850 ng/dl so they are not out of range

Does your lab reference mentioned another range for normal?
