I have Angina and Emphysema. Is it harmfull for me to get breathless, for example carrying shopping bags to my upatairs flat, or carrying anything at all. I get really out of breath even just walking quickly. I'm 73.
Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: Braltus spray. Salmeterol. Bisoprolol. Lercanidipine
Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No. I stay very well and don't get colds or anything.

It is not harmful merely getting fast breathing as long as you do not get blue fingers or lips, and have fainting etc. Bearable breathlessness which recovers on rest is not harmful.
