I have suffered from a weak heart for a time and have now

Customer Question

I have suffered from a weak heart for a long time and have now been informed that my kidneys are ‘packing up’. To help those drs who care for me would it be helpful if I sought out dietary advice?
Assistant: Do you know if your family has a history of heart disease? In general, how would you describe your health lately?
Customer: No family heart history. My health of late has been rather difficult and trying eg body strength has gone therefore doing anything is an effort and there are times when I gasp for breath
Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have a three-lead pacemaker and I should add I have been, until the very recent kidney illness, a very active and ‘young’ 85 year old

Yes you can restrict proteins, sodium etc and prolong good renal function by a specially designed diet under constant supervision of renal physician. : http://www.kidneyfund.org/kidney-disease/chronic-kidney-disease-ckd/kidney-friendly-diet-for-ckd.htmlsee link
