Assistant: How can I help? About a week ago, I had root

Customer Question

Assistant: Hello. How can I help?
Customer: About a week ago, I had root canal treatment as had a tooth infection. I took a week's course of amoxicillin and my right hand cheek at the back & inside is very hard. Also a small hard lump on my jaw bone on the affected, right hand side. I was also recently diagnosed with TMJ. Anther symptom is I note I've lost about 10 lbs in the last 2-3 weeks. Is there perhaps an emergency dentist I could book up for maybe an oral examination. I very much appreciate your advice. Thank you kindly. Rebecca
Assistant: How long have you had the lump? Is it hard or soft?
Customer: Right hand inner cheek at the lower back feels hard, compacted. On my jaw bone it feels like a hard small rounded lump. I noticed the inside cheek swelling last week, but the jaw bone I noticed about 6 days ago.
Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I'm on no medications at this time or other illnesses. I have been off colour for a few weeks now, but likely due to tooth infection.

The hard feel may be due to fibrosis. Will resolve with use of gel containing mild hydrocortisone and pressing gently with finger. Joint stiffness will require physiotherapy like passive stretch. Please increase substantially liquid nutrients so that weight is stabilized. Visit to dentist may be needed if still having painful teeth on chewing.
