Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: leg from one week ago and it isn’t healing well, it’s become very sore and red and slightly swollen. I’m slightly worried that I can see the redness travelling off away from the wound. I have just cleaned it with salt water what else should I do? I saw a pharmacist 2 days ago who’s said keep it clean and exposed and if it gets worse seek medical advice
Assistant: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?
Customer: Citalopram daily. Allergic to penicillin
Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No

Hello. I'm Dr Chip

You've got cellulitis there--that spreading redness

For now you can try an over the counter antibiotic cream like Neospporin applied after you clean in with peroxide three times a day

But if it doesn't clear in the next three days you're going to need to see you doctor for a course of oral antibiotics

Please let me know if you need any more information

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Can I apply sudocrem?

You can but that isn't an antibiotic cream like Neosporin

Please remember to rate my service to you

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Okay, should I be worried about the redness?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Also, should I cover it with bandaid or leave it open?

It's not an emergency situation but it may need antibiotics

And you need to cover it with a bandaid

Ok thank you very much

My pleasure and call on me anytime

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I’ve just been to see my doctor and there’s nothing wrong with it!!!

You mean he said it isn't infected?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Not atall

Then what did he think it was?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Just a sore cut

Well that's really not much of a diagnosis but glad to know he thought it was fine

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Do you think I should be worried then?

It's not worrisome but I still think it's infected so I still suggest Neosporin three times a day for a week
