JA: How long have you had the lump? Is it hard or soft?
Customer: about two months and it is hard
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: nope

What is your age?

Do you smoke or use tobacco in any form?

Please post a picture of the lump inside the lip.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I am 19 and I do smoke

Post the picture, please.

It isn’t very visible

This is likely to go away on its own.

Do not touch it recurrently or assess the size.

You may consider taking over the counter multivitamin and vitamin C for 10-15 days.

There is nothing worrisome.

Thank you doctor. As i say it hasn't got worse and doesn't hurt at all, is it a mucous cyst?

You are very welcome.

In all likelihood, it is a mucous cyst.
