Do I need to be referred by a GP to a skin specialist to

This answer was rated:

Hello - do I need to be referred by a GP to a skin specialist to check my moles for skin cancer - or can I access those specialists directly?
JA: The Doctor can help. Just a couple quick questions before I transfer you. How long have you had skin cancer? Have you used any medication for it?
Customer: I don't have skin cancer - I just need to get my moles checked as it's been a few since since my last check and a couple of them have changed consdierably
JA: When was your last doctor visit? What did you discuss?
Customer: I haven't been to the doctor for a few years
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: I have had moles cut out in the past - not because they were cancerous necessarily - I was just advised to have them removed

You need a referral from your GP to get an appointment with the dermatologist

But you can visit one privately on your own if you wish to

Is there a common surgical treatment for haemorroids? I have had a full colonoscopy in the last 12 months so know I don't have any cancer - but I do get frequent rectal bleeding and fluid leakage and would like to do something about it.

It depend generally on how advance are the hemorrhoids

In most advanced cases it require hemorrhoidectomy

In other cases a banding can be helpful

In very early cases avoiding constipation can be required only

I am 50 and have suffered with this on and off for many years. It is now at the point where it is almost a daily occurrence. What course of action do you recommend?

The exact course of action can be decided after examination

So if it is advanced case you will require surgery to remove hemorrhoid
