I have a lump under my right armpit Assistant: How have you

This answer was rated:

I have a lump under my right armpit
Assistant: How long have you had the lump? Is it hard or soft?
Customer: Left*
Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: No around 12 months Or longer

Hello. I'm Dr Chip
How large is it?

Is it hard or soft?

Is it movable?

And have you had any tests or studies to evaluate this?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Lump is round and smooth slightly moveable probably around 1cm hard to tell
No tests but it hasn't changed size in a few months since I've noticed it
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
When i push it slips to the side of my fingers, quite deep

Well I can't examine you but--

It doesn't sound like a lymph node

It's likely either a benign cyst or a lipoma (a benign fatty growth)

So I don't see anything worrisome about it but you should have your doctor check it out

Please let me know if you need any more information

To reassure me what would a lymph node feel like? That's my main worry

Hard, not movable, and it would have gotten larger by now

Please remember to rate my service to you

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
That's my worry it does feel stuck just moves slightly when I put pressure on to either side of my finger but no further. It is hard but rubbery also if that makes sense. So would a troublesome lymph node get noticeably bigger normally?

Rubbery would mean it isn't a lymph node involved with cancer and that kind would have gotten larger by now

Just have your doctor check this out
