JA: The Doctor can help. Just a couple quick questions before I transfer you. How long have you had the shortness of breath? Have you used any medication for it?
Customer: about 3 months I have a seretide inhaler and VENTOLIN inhalers but they have stopped working my Gp says I have COPD

Customer: I am 83yrs old female I have multiple osteoaerhritis fybromyalgia collapsed discs in spine 1 hip replacement,Lately I am terribly weak and gasping for breath whenever I move,

If this is a recent flare up then you should be put on a short course of steroids

If the problem is continuing for some time then your doctor must discuss with you about a non invasive ventilation

This is usually given by a machine and it is called BiPAP

That have shown to be very effective in COP patients
