Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
Hello, my name is***** and I shall be assisting you today.
What is your age?
Do you have any pain in the anal/perianal area?
Alright, thank you.
Have you been constipated or did you have diarrhea recently?
Okay, this recent bowel movement in which you noticed the red streak, was your stool hard and did you have to force it out?
This sounds like hemorrhoids. I will suggest that you keep an eye on the symptoms for now and if this repeats itself, then you should get an appointment with your primary physician and have a rectal examination done. That will confirm the diagnosis.Meanwhile, you should start on a high fiber diet containing, unrefined cereals, avocados, prunes etc. and add metamucil or psyllium husk two tablespoons thrice a day to soften the stools and make them more bulky.Drink plenty of water.

Thank you for your response.
Most hemorrhoids can be managed conservatively just by diet change and lifestyle change and they keep calm. They are not a concerning thing and are very common.
Take good care.
At this point, it sounds like you are bloated, that should settle down with the high fiber intake.
