I have an issue where when I squat I'm finding in my left

This answer was rated:

Hello, I have an issue where when I squat I'm finding in my left leg, at the bottom of my thigh under the knee on the outside a ligament or something else seems to be popping out of place. I'm not sure what it is but I don't have that in my right leg? I feel there is an anatomical issue there?
Assistant: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? Have you noticed any swelling?
Customer: No swelling or pain, when I squat with a heavy load it is more noticeable. I've had it since I can remember.
Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: I've had some issues maybe with joints such as TMJ. But I'm not sure if that's relevant?

I was thinking of going to see a chiropractor about it

Could you please post a picture here?

How big is it?

Is it hard, soft, firm of cystic/fluid filled?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
I could upload a video I think

You may upload it here or at the file-sharing site.

Ok I've uploaded the file I think?

I wouldn't say it was cystic in any way. There is just a click/thud like sound when the leg is fully concentrically narrowed.

Here is another file

Any ideas?

Do I have to call you to get any more info?

This is likely to be a soft tissue swelling like lipoma or lipofibroma (benign).

Nothing to worry.

It does not require any treatment.

An ultrasound would confirm the diagnosis.

Wishing you all the very best in life.

Thank you.

I understand it is benign but is there anyway to get rid of it/treatment?

Usually, no treatment is required as issue is cosmetic and does not cause any short or long term issues.

If you want a surgical removal can be done.

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
How complex would the surgery be?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Thanks for your quick response

Surgery is fairly simple and usually is daycare surgery. You do not need to stay in the hospital for more than 6-8 hours.

Do you have a rough idea of cost, given it is cosmetic? UK based?

I am sorry, I do not know the cost in the UK but can be around a thousand pounds.

Ok thanks!

Very welcome.
