We have just had a carbon monoxide leak detected in our home. It has been dealt with now and is safe, but there is a possibility that all four family members have been exposed to low levels of carbon monoxide over an unknown period of time. Should we seek medical help or will any effects stop now that the source of CO has gone?
JA: Are you in any pain? How regular are your periods?
Customer: No pain. Periods getting irregular, but I'm 51.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: Depression, very low energy, mood swings, sleepiness, aching joints

Hello. I'm Dr Chip
How are all of you doing right now?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
We're fine. A little tired but I am more clear-thinking than I have been for a while.

Usually low level exposure to carbon monoxide doesn't really cause any serious problems and once the exposure is eliminated you're fine

So I see no need for any of you to get checked out
