Hi.Welcome to just answer.I am caring doc.I can help you today.
This can be Infrapatellar Bursitis, an inflammation of Infrapatellar bursa.
Rest is important to allow the inflamed bursa to settle down.
This may mean modifying activities for a while, or complete rest for a few days.
Avoid putting direct pressure on the knee such as when kneeling as this is most likely to aggravate the symptoms.
Apply cold therapy.Put an ice pack on your knee about 3 to 4 times a day. You can also use a bag of frozen veggies like peas or corn. Leave it on for 20 minutes at a time.
Compression can help to reduce the pain and swelling.
You should also take tablet Ibuprofen 400mg every 6 hours for pain and inflammation.
If you don't see any improvement in a week, you should see you doctor for aspiration of fluid and yo see other possible causes like fracture or infection.
