Can you tell me what the following means mild mitral valve prolapse with mild mitral regurgitation
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: That is what the letter from the hospital says and I do not take medication for it
JA: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?
Customer: Gabapentine
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: on

Hello. I'm Dr Chip
I means that the mitral valve leaflet is a little floppy and doesn't close completely and that allow a small amount of blood to flow backwards from the left ventricle into the left atrium chamber of the heart

In general it isn't dangerous and doesn't require treatment

Please let me know if you need any more information
