I was diagnosed with a chest infection last Wednesday and prescribed an antibiotic and predneslone (I do have asthma, but it is under control) however I have taken meds and am no better . Advice please.
JA: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?
Customer: Not allergic to anything. Daily meds. Atorvastatin, Letrozole and Omeprazole. Fostair.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?

68. Amoxicillin . Didn’t have any tests. Cold just turned into infection but three weeks now. Not in any danger but it’s very debilitating

It can take 2-3 days too to have its full effect.

When you are taking it for so long, I feel you need a review by doctor.

The antibiotic may not be working or there can be a complication.

A few tests or blood work would be needed.

You can take paracetamol meanwhile.

You can keep the room warm & humidified.

It would ease breathing.
