Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
Good morning. I am Dr Elliot. How can I help?
Thank you. Could you send a photo?
Thank you. Is it warm to touch? Compared to surrounding skin that is
Okay thanks. My concern is that this could be a cellulitis (a bacterial skin infection). I do not think a topical fungal cream would do very much and feel you probably need antibiotics, I would also try and get this treated today.
Can you attend a local walk in centre? or alternatively call 111 and speak to a GP who would be able to prescribe for you and sent you a prescription if they agree?
Please could you do this now to ensure this can be started today please
Please could you also rate my response to your question, this is the only way that I can be credited for answering questions, thank you
They are indeed, just depends on which area and availability. Alternatively use a walk in centre, I can help you with finding one if needed
