Hi, I've been experiencing headaches after coughing for almost three weeks now.
JA: The Doctor can help. To begin, how long have you had the coughing? Have you used any medication for it?
Customer: I think I started noticing the headaches about two and a half weeks ago, I'm always trying to clear my throat, I was taking paracetamol morning and night for a week until the end of last week.
JA: Thanks for that. Have you seen a doctor about the headaches?
Customer: Not yet, my GP isn't accepting appointments
JA: Thank you so much for your answers. Finally, is there anything else in your medical history the Doctor should know?
Customer: Don't think so, I was born with one kidney but that's about it.

Hello! My name is***** to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply momentarily.

Do you have fever?

Any other symptoms?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm not 100% sure, my head feels quite hot but I'm not dizzy, unsteady or anything like that.

Have you used anything to treat it so far?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I was just using normal paracetamol when I woke up and before bed for about a week but stopped at the end of last week.

Are you a smoker as well?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Never smoked

Thanks for the details

The cough you have can be due to silent acid reflux

The other possibility could be a post nasal discharge

I think you should use Lansoprazole and a decongestant like Sudafed tablet

Also take Piriton and use steam inhalation

Hopefully that will help in settling the problem

In case if there is no improvement in a week then you should go to see your doctor for evaluation

Please do let me know if you have any other question

Will these hopefully help with the headaches or just the cough itself?

For headache you can use Nurofen as required
