I have a recurring abscess in my gum that keeps coming back

Customer Question

I have a recurring abscess in my gum that keeps coming back when I pop it. I am on antibiotics but have no tooth pain. What should I do until I am able to see a dentist? Should I keep popping the abscess as it needs to be drained?
JA: Is the pain consistent, or does it fluctuate?
Customer: I only have pain when I press on the abscess on my gum
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: No that is all. Thank you

Good morning. I can assist you with finding a local emergency dental service as I feel it would be appropriate to get this checked.

Alternatively you can phone 111 for the out of hours option
