Customer Question

I saw my dentist on Wednesday who diagnosed an abscess and prescribed amoxicillin. Since then the pain has got worse. I have been taking ibuprofen and paracetamol alternately and they are only pushing the pain back for about an hour. I have run 111 for an emergency appt but there is nothing available. What can I do to get through the weekend?
JA: Have you had any recent injuries? What seems to make the pain better or worse?
Customer: No recent injuries. Eating and drinking makes it worse.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: I have high blood pressure which is medicated with remipril at 5mg/day

I am taking the antibiotic as described. Is the a way I can get a better pain killer as I can't get to a dentist?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 19 days ago.

we don't prescribe medications here to clients online

you should ask your doctors for tylenol with codeine for pain

Customer: replied 19 days ago.
Would you say that is acceptable to go to a&e in this situation for help?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 19 days ago.

yes, go to the A&E and ask for a prescription for tylenol with codeine.
