Hi, I'm 28 years old virgin. My periods are regular. Last month I found blood in urine. When I consulted GP they said it could be due to urine infection. Again this month I found traces of blood and it's not my periods. Could you please suggest.
JA: Are you in any pain? How regular are your periods?
Customer: I don't have any pain or burning sensation. My periods are exactly a month apart. Can running cause blood traces?
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: I don't have any medical history

Can running cause blood traces? I started running 4kms since 2months

Thanks for the details

Yes strenuous exercise can cause blood in urine

Other possible causes could include an infection, stone in kidney,or even tumors

I think if this has happened for the second time then you should have an evaluation

But as I said earlier it can be due to strenuous exercise as well

Please do let me know if you have any other question

Should I wait for evaluation? What tests are required if I need to?

I think you can wait for a regular appointment

You should have urine test, complete blood count, ultrasound and a Pap smear if indicated

Please do let me know if you have any other question

Should I look for any other symptoms before contacting a GP?

You mainly have to look for persistence of bleeding

Other symptoms like pain abdomen, fever, urinary burning etc should be considered as well

Please do let me know if you have any other question

If done please leave a 5-stars feedback rating
