I was taking potassium supplements foolishly. I know that

Customer Question

I was taking potassium supplements foolishly. I know that the kidneys get rid of excess potassium but I looked up the half-life of potassium in the body and it said 40 days so I'm concerned I should be taking excess salt to compensate. I know it foolish but Im concerned.
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: None except anticonvulsants.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
Customer: No except a bit of a worry and did take B6 excessively in the past.

You should have a blood test for Potassium

Usually kidneys are quite efficient in regulating the potassium

You should not take any treatment or any further added potassium till you get the test done

My goal is to provide you with excellent service – if you feel you have received anything less, please reply back as I am happy to address follow-up questions. I will be glad to help you always.
