Hi there,
I am an experienced Medical Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

Have you tried any medication yet?

Are you able to post a pic here?

Cold sensitivity can be caused by diabetes and thyroid gland disorder.

fasting blood glucose, thyroid function tests should be ordered.

Next possibility can be autoimmune disorder like Lupus, or vasculitis.

These require a skin rash biopsy and also blood tests --ANA titer, sed rate, crp, ancas

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
Actually 3 months ago GP tested Auto antibody and immune deficiency. Everything normal, more over I don’t have diabetes and my thyroid gland is normal. Rheumatology Doctor checked thyroid scan. He said you don’t have any problem. Then asked to check vitamin D, my vitamin D was low, vitamin D was 33.
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
No just you can chat by text message
Customer: replied 6 days ago.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.

Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Please upload a pic here of the rash if possible.

Normal labs are reassuring but still do not rule out an autoimmune skin disorder.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I don’t have rashes, I just got redness, but it is ok now. Only problem I have skin reaction to cold. A&E Doctor said it may be Eczema.
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Do you have a pic to upload?

You can have food allergies, environmental allergies.

In that case, allergy patch testing and blood tests for antibodies will be helpful to localize the allergen you are reacting most.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I did histamine intolerance allergy testing, Doctor said I have dust mites allergy.

Ok this can be an allergic reaction.

Have you tried any medication yet?

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I tried antihistamine but still not work out
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Ok then your next step is to get a skin biopsy from a local dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
Skin biopsy
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
Skin biopsy will show what is the problem in my skin
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
May be vitamin D or some other nutrition low cause problem.
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Yes correct --skin biopsy is the next step.

Vitamin d should not cause this type of rash--more commonly joint pain or muscle aches.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I have whole body skin inflammation and tightness. Sometimes my eyes also getting redness and swelling inside eye skin
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I have read online Vitamin D deficiency causes skin disorder such as Eczema, psoriasis.
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Please upload all your blood test results here --I need to review more closely.

I will be able to give you more precise information after that.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
Finally I am going to see dermatologist
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Your posted result has few abnormalities --you have low sodium, low potassium, your liver enzyme ALT is high, your white cell count is higher than normal and your PT a measure of coagulation parameter is little abnormal. I do not see any CO2 level and anion gap measured.

You will need a urine analysis for blood , protein, pH and solutes as well.

You will need further wok up to check for liver and kidney problem with ultrasound at least.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
This one test shows little variance but previous test everything normal I have that one copy also but that also I have the same skin problem. I have this tightness problems more than 5 months. Hospital A&E checked many times everything normal. My oxygen rating also 100%
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Please understand abnormal result now is more important than in the past.

And it is not normal till it is normal as we say in medical parlance.

In presence of symptoms, even a little abnormality bears further significance.

Please post more results if possible for further guidance.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I checked already liver and kidney ultrasound scan. It showed mild fatty liver, all doctors said mild fatty liver is not a problem. kidney normal.
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Mild fatty liver can progress to NASH and cirrhosis over the course of several years.

Periodic monitoring is recommended.

Liver problem usually causes skin rash --well proven.

However, you will need a skin biopsy as well.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
Actually I don’t have rashes, but skin reaction
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
Maybe heavy metals toxins now I am taking multi nutrition supplement, Vitamin D high dose just for 3 months, and probiotics.
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Yes I meant that

Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

lead, arsenic levels should be checked if you are at risk.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I am on heavy metals detox treatment now by nutrition specialist but she said I have little heavy metals but mercury little high. I don’t know which one is relevant, I took Oligoscan then hair nutrient analysis. Both showed heavy metals. But my nutrition specialist told me that oligoscan is not reliable. She said hair analysis is reliable.
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

ok --yes mercury is another one that should be monitored.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I am detox treatment but she said skin reaction is not by heavy metals. Because you’re level low
Customer: replied 6 days ago.

ok --your nutrionist is right --please follow her recommendations.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
What do you telling? But I have skin reaction
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
She said skin tightness not by heavy metals
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

I am not saying your skin reaction is related --especially since you still need a skin biopsy and you have abnormal liver function.

You need a work up for other causes that can affect liver like hemochromatosis ( iron studies, ferritin), hepatitis panel, wilson disease ( ceruloplasmin level).

Please upload other labs if you have done before as I mentioned above.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
Iron ferritin level normal
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
But hapatitis, I don’t have fever vomiting nothing except that skin reaction
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I think you thought I have nutrition problems by obsorption problem, No before I did not eat well healthily. And I never had any problem. My nutrition was almost all low by antibiotics. Before got this problem I took antibiotics then I got diarrhoea then my all nutrition and good bacteria gone out.
Customer: replied 6 days ago.
More over not possible to affect my liver because I ate liver protection supplements. I consulted with this just answer another doctor a month ago he said your liver is not affected because you ate all liver protection supplements you have eaten. Alt little high is not a problem. Do exercises it will be ok he said
Expert:  Dr Basu replied 6 days ago.

Mild fatty liver can progress to NASH and cirrhosis over the course of several years.

Periodic monitoring is recommended.

This is as per current guidelines from most liver specialists.

Just ultrasound is not adequate to monitor liver disease.

Liver MRI scan or a fibro scan to check for liver stiffness also recommended.

Besides a dermatologist, it is in your best interest to follow up with a liver specialist.

Supplements alone are not proven to protect against liver disease.

But healthy diet and regular exercise do have a role in improving liver health.
