I have a very large boil at the top of my left leg near my groin, it is quite large and it is very red around the edge as if it is infected. Can you suggest any treatment I can do to see if the boil will burst. Thank you
JA: When did the boil first appear? Have you used any medication for this?
Customer: I have had it about four day and the only thing I have done is use germline.
JA: Got it. Have you seen a dermatologist about the boil?
Customer: No, I haven't seen anyone.
JA: Thank you so much for your time. Finally, is there anything else in your medical history you think the Dermatologist should know?
Customer: I don't think so I did see a dermatologist last year for skin cancer on the back of my right leg but that has now cleared as I had lazer treatment.

Hi there,
I am an experienced Medical Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

How long you have it?

Are you able to post a pic?

You should clean the boil with warm salt water.

Then you can apply over the counter Bacitracin cream twice daily.

However, you will likely need lancing if it gets worse in next 2 days.

If you spike fever, you will need prescription antibiotic course as well.
Best wishes,

No I cannot send a photo, I will bath the oil with hot water, and contact my own doctor tomorrow. Thank you.
