Hi I’ve had servere stomach reflux pain in my stomach the last 4 days I’ve taken gaviscon medicine however it’s not going away.

You might have a stomach ulcer or severe gastritis

Its always worth getting examined by a Dr in case further tests are needed

In the meantime, on top of the gaviscon, you can try Nexium or 20mg Omeprazole tablets sold over the counter

I don't know how long it will take as I cant make that kind of prediction without you seeing a doctor and being checked out

However, most people find they need to take medication for 1 -2 months, but everyone is different. Its not the same time frame for everybody.
