My child with Down syndrome has picked up a cold and I can hear from his breathing he has mucus in his throat that seems to making him wheezy. He isn’t coughing like a typical baby would to clear his throat is there anything I can do to help this?

Hello. I'm Dr Chip
This could be bronchitis that requires antibiotics

I suggest you have a doctor evaluate him

He’s ok once the mucus has dislodged and he’s swallowed it

Not an emergency but he should be evaluated
