One lateral flow test is adequate for routine screening for COVID, however if you are symptomatic of COVID, then a PCR test is required, a lateral flow test is not currently considered acceptable if you have symptoms of COVID.

Okay thanks. So yes, if you have no symptoms, a test is not relevant. If you are routinely screening with a lateral flow, then you would only get a PCR test if any were positive. If you however ever get symptoms, the lateral flow test is currently not appropriate, you should get a PCR test instead.
