I have been on veneflexine 75mg and 37.5mg twice a day. My

Customer Question

Hello, I have been on veneflexine 75mg and 37.5mg twice a day. My new Dr has changed me to effexor 75mg and 37.5mg twice per day. I thought as as the new effexor are prolonged release they was only suppose yo be taken once a day?
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: It's is a new Dr as I moved area so no, she just swapped them automatically. I'm also on naproxem Naproxen, omeprazol, nototritine, Codine, zapain, pregablin. I have crushed vertibra and wait spine surgery but veneflexine for anxiety and depression.
JA: How long have you been feeling this way? Have you reached out to anyone about this yet?
Customer: I read the slow release shouldn't be taken twice a day?
JA: Is there anything else the Doctor should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: My neck pain ongoing for year after misdiagnosis. Given veneflexine about 4 years ago. I said they didn't help, but was told I'm to complexed and to be referred to mental health team, which never happened.

Effexor is also available in immediate release form tablets.

So please check the label if it says XR or ER tabs or not.
