I would like to speak to someone about chest pains I have

Customer Question

I would like to speak to someone about chest pains I have been experiencing
JA: Have you ever dealt with this before? Are you having any shortness of breath?
Customer: I have had them for the last few months. No shortness of breath. Just chest pains which ease when I massage the area. Along with light headedness, dizziness, heart palpitations sometimes. Once I felt pain along my shoulder and jaw but that was just once. I have been told it may be anxiety but it hasn’t been confirmed
JA: Is there anything else the Doctor should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: I am a type 2 diabetic and also had back surgery 4 years ago

Hi there I hope your sugars are under control

Does these chest pains are aggravated by exertion or walking or jogging?

Expert:  Zee J replied 6 days ago.

Did you have any ECG?

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
My sugar levels aren’t the best. They are getting lower but right now hover at 14.
I’ve never had an ECG.
The chest pains tend to happen at rest. I’m either sitting or lying down about to sleep.
I do feel they happen when I have something on my mind but I don’t myself feel that I get stressed

What is your recent HBA1C?

Also your features are not typical even then I would suggest to have an ECG as you are diabetic plus if needed to have an exercise ECG – an ECG carried out while you're walking on a treadmill or using an exercise bike to rule out any heart issues

If both above tests are fine then you should relax and stop worrying

Sorry 87

Which means your sugars are under control. You need to see your diabetes specialist to control them that could be the reason for atypical chest pains plus

Thank you. I think having an ECG might be a good idea. I am about to start training again next week. So my heart will be beating faster then. Do you think I should wait until after ECG before doing it?

I would suggest to control your sugars first and have an ECG. You need to see your diabetologist first
